“Many thanks for serving us while we were at the retreat.  It took me a while to understand that it was fine to be served and that was what you wanted…it really made it such a retreat for me.”  - Elaine Pratley Thank you both, from the bottom of my newly filled ‘well spring’! Your commitment, dedication, relentless energy and ability to cater to the physical, spiritual, emotional and mental needs of seven women is nothing short of commendable. Did I say cater? The food was just amazing. The accommodation and our environment was just spectacular – and the incredible participants – I am so inspired by everyone! I truly felt that I was in the presence of greatness – strong, intelligent, compassionate, resourceful and creative – my soul sisters and brother! Suzie Batson

"It's been good to sit and reflect for a few days on the retreat.  I am still sitting with it and allowing thoughts to just bubble up when they are ready.  To me that just confirms how the Jenn, Tania and Charlie were able to create a safe place for some very deep work. Their presence and direction with the program was always there even with all our little eccentricities. I thought the love they expressed in the food they prepared for us was a constant throughout the retreat. Their service to us was given generously withholding (with us and holding us) any ego on their part.'' - Greg Rooney

"I really thought that the retreat was excellent. It provided the space for peace workers to better connect with their own inner thoughts and feelings regarding their own personal peace. This I thought was excellent, too often we focus on our trauma, rather than our own inner places of peace." - Steve Killelea

"I had no idea of what to expect from this retreat, and hoped that I could be taught to relax and look inwardly a little more.  I lead a very busy  life and am very much a kinaesthetic person, and consider idleness somewhat a waste of time.   As much as the lack of “doing” was disconcerting at first, I learnt the baby steps to the pleasure of doing nothing.   Thinking about me and journaling about me was a whole new experience, and I can see the benefit of putting thoughts on paper as a form of mindfulness and relaxation.    I will be working towards doing this regularly, as I have experienced the benefit.  (When I can find the time!)   Thank you to Charlie, Jenn and Tania for leading me through this experience." "I am touched by your tribute to Leonard (Leonard Cohen) and very sad that he has died. How timely it was to give him some thought at the retreat (the message came from through wood). Anthem is a beautiful song.  Thanks for the retreat. It was very refreshing and heartening and it was lovely to spend some time with you and the others.'' - Dianne Bretherton

"I attended a retreat on the Mornington Peninsula. The location was stunning with rugged beaches, expansive fading green autumnal fields, and skies as big as I’ve ever seen. My fellow participants in the retreat were all Australian, and I was moved by their warmth, hospitality and kindness. I tapped into creative parts of myself that had sat dormant for years, some since childhood. I sang a song that is personally meaningful to me and toyed with guitar, practiced martial arts, experimented with photography, journaled and wrote poems, and even learned how to do woodwork. Carving, sanding, and varnishing a talking stick from a dead branch I found in the woods was my favourite activity from the weekend. I could actually sense the wood speaking to me. I look forward to using this talking stick in talking circles and watching as more of its story is revealed. I also had a chance to wander aimlessly in nature. It reminded me of my childhood, spending hours alone in the woods behind my house, discovering secrets and enjoying the grand play ground that is nature. I was reminded this week of the connection between wellness, nature, community, creativity and peace. My intention is to let this experience infuse my work in the months and years to come." - Wes Hedden April '17

Thank you for a wonderful weekend where you gave us the space to plan our ‘next  moves’. Life gets very busy and it is nice to get away from ‘the hum drum’ and participate in activities that allow you to create a new you. It was great to meet a group of like-minded people who are on their own journey and who may have an impact on our lives too. I loved the opportunity to get into nature and walk and talk and share meaningful ideas as we managed to obtain some great exercise across the weekend. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to the retreats, I would encourage anyone to make the time and be involved.

"I am feeling energised and refreshed though initially a little tired. I am so grateful to you three. You gave so much to us and enabled us to feel very safe and nurtured. What a beautiful environment you chose too. I am trusting that the sparks of creativity and innovation that were ignited in the retreat will expand and spread in unexpected and wonderful ways. I feel such a connection with everyone in the group and so honoured to have heard your stories and your profound experiences.'' - Margaret Ross

"My return to normality has been interesting - the abiding memory I have is of the talking stick. An absorbing little activity that became a metaphor for the multilayered nature to most things, and the very relevant lesson, did me, to not see out with preconceived ideas that inevitably interrupt listening, with intention."
